OSP Subprotocols There are mainly two categories of OSP sub-protocols, one that deals with representation and the other that deals with communication. Most of the representation sub-protocols are specified in XML schema, a mechanism for defining a vocabulary specifying the structure of XML documents. Most of the communication sub-protocols are specified in Web Services Description Language (WSDL), a mechanism to describe the invocation syntax of a Web service, e.g. an optimization service.
