We would love to have you use one of our logos to show that you're using COIN-OR software. If you use one of our logos on a web site, please, make it an active link back to the Coin-OR web site.

Occasionally, people get carried away and seem to lose track of the notion that we're letting you use COIN-OR Logos for our mutual benefit. Because of those folks, we have the following:

Terms of Use for COIN-OR Logos

The COIN-OR Logos are made available for the purposes of indicating use of COIN-OR software and promoting the COIN-OR repository or the COIN-OR Foundation, Inc. You may not use them for any other purpose.

In addition, the following specific terms must be observed:

  1. Your use of a COIN-OR Logo must not in any way state or even imply that you or your organisation is somehow affiliated with or endorsed by the COIN-OR Foundation, Inc.
  2. You may not alter COIN-OR Logos in any way, or create derivative works. Since you're not allowed to create such a thing, you certainly cannot use altered Logos or works derived from the Logos.
  3. The COIN-OR Logos remain the property of the COIN-OR Foundation, Inc. We're offering you a license to use COIN-OR Logos for the specific purposes indicated in the first paragraph of these Terms of Use. We are not offering you any sort of ownership rights.
  4. Since the COIN-OR Foundation, Inc., owns the Logos, we have the final say over how they're used. If we don't like the way you're using our Logos, and we ask you to stop using our Logos, you agree that you will stop using our Logos.
  5. The COIN-OR Foundation, Inc., is not responsible for anything bad, whatever it might be, arising directly or indirectly from your use of a COIN-OR Logo. We will, however, happily accept credit for good things.

IF YOU DON'T ACCEPT THE TERMS OF USE, YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THE LOGOS.

It may be mutually beneficial to you and the COIN-OR Foundation, Inc., to vary the terms of use given here. Please contact the Secretary of the COIN-OR Foundation, Inc. with your proposal at secretary at coin-or.org.
